Pregnancy Hotline

AHCCCS and The Department of Health Services work together to connect pregnant women with information needed during pregnancy. The Pregnancy and Breast Feeding Hotline is an important resource for pregnant women in Arizona.

Pregnant women should call the Pregnancy and Breast feeding hotline at 1-800-833-4642 for information pregnancy and other topics, such as:

  • Pregnancy testing sites

  • Lactation referrals

  • Baby Arizona Prescreening

  • Pregnancy Counseling

  • Free Prenatal Vitamins, why they are important & where to get them, see www.getfolic.org

  • Federal Emergency Management Administration Services

  • Premium Sharing Options

  • Low Cost Prenatal Packages.

Hours of operation of the Hotline are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and there is voicemail available after hours.


Text4Baby

Text for Baby logoLearn more about free mobile phone health information through "text4baby" which provides timely health information for pregnant women during pregnancy and new mothers through the baby's first year. Women who sign up for the services will receive free SMS text messages each week, timed to their due date or baby's date of birth.

Text4baby is made possible through a national public-private partnership that includes the Federal government, corporations, academic institutions and non-profit organizations. Text4baby wireless carriers voluntarily provide the critical communications link of the initiative, and distribute text messages to recipients at no charge.
